ACL and PCL
There is complete tear of ACL at proximal portion. No anterior tibial translation with respect to distal femur is seen. There is normal size and signal intensity of PCL.
Medial Tibiofemoral Compartment
Medial meniscus shows normal contour and signal intensity. The medial collateral ligamentous complex is intact. The articular cartilage is unremarkable. Subchondral marrow edema at posterior aspect of medial tibial plateau is observed.
Lateral Tibiofemoral Compartment
Lateral meniscus shows normal contour and signal intensity. Grade I ligamentous sprain of LCL is noted. The iliotibial band, popliteus and biceps femoris tendons show no abnormal signal intensity.
There is subchondral fracture and bone marrow contusion at posterior aspect of lateral tibial plateau with minimal depression and articular stepping, measured about 3 mm.
Patellofemoral Compartment
Patella is in normal position. There is no articular cartilaginous loss of the patella or femoral trochlea. The patellar retinaculae, quadriceps and patellar tendon appears normal.
Others
Moderate amount of joint effusion with evidence of lipohemarthrosis is noted. The visualized muscles, popliteal vessels, tibial and common peroneal nerve are unremarkable.
IMPRESSION
- Complete tear of ACL at mid portion.
- Subchondral fracture and bone marrow contusion at posterior aspect of lateral tibial plateau with minimal depression and articular stepping, measured about 3 mm.
- Subchondral marrow edema at posterior aspect of medial tibial plateau.
- Moderate amount of joint effusion with evidence of lipohemarthrosis.
