We went to Wat Chiang Man and we would like recommendation you about this temple.
Wat Chiang Man is one in nine temples you should to go if you come to visit in Chiang mai
Wat Chiang Man was the first royal temple built in the vicinity to Chiangmai’sancent city. On the former Wiang Chiang Man place donated by the PhayaMungrai.The Large Ubosot was renovated in the 1920’s by the famous monk Khru Ba Srivichai, and has his statue near the Large Ubosot
Inside the Large Ubosot , it has the image is a standing Buddha holding an alms bowl, the inscription on its base dates it to 1465.
Following inside the Large Ubosot , this image show some activities are like they wrote Bailaan (Ancient palm leaf manuscripts carrying Buddhist scriptures) and celebrate and worship new Chedi by Thai Lanna style.
Chedi Chang Lom or Elephant surrounded Stupa is the oldest and the most significant within the temple compounds.
The most significant is the white quartz Buddha image of PhraSetangkanee or PhraKaewKhao. It’s Lanna style which PhayaMungrai brought from Hariphuchai.It is located near the Large Ubosot.
Near Wat Chiang Man has a one of a famous restaurant in Chiangmai.
It’s Jok Som Phet, this restaurant is in front of Wat Chiang Man and adjoin Sripom road.
We recommend you have to order
Jok.
This menu is like a rice porridge with pork ball and egg some people add ginger and some vegetable.
For a good taste of your meal you should add some black sauce.

How to get there.
The Wat Chiang Man is located within the old walled city in Chiang Mai, between Phra Pok Klao 13 road and Ratchaphakhinai 1 road. Entering the old walled part of the city through the Chang Puak Gate in the North wall. Then turn left to Ratchaphakhinai 1 road. Go straight on around 200 meters. You can see the Temple is on the right side. This is Chiang Mai’s oldest temple.
By Bus
You can take a Red Car (Red Pick-up) in Chiang Mai for saving money.
you can sit a tricycle(three- wheel) around the temple for appreciating the way of life of Lanna Style.
By Car
You can rent a motorcycle or bicycle for driving to visit around Chiang Mai.
