At the Senior Center where I volunteer, there are many activity clubs. One of them is a knitting club; I have joined this group.
One of the primary goals of the club is to donate any knitted/crocheted pieces to organizations e.g. an elementary school,
children hospitals and homeless shelters. Currently, all members are women with ages ranging from 64 (me) to 92 years old.
Each year, the children at this elementary school wear the donated sweaters; take a class picture and send it to us with a thank you
note. In addition, we recently received a thank you letter from the Child Welfare of our county expressing gratitude to our continuous
support of its mission. These tokens of appreciation have kept the group fulfilled and determined to keep on going.
Below are the pieces that will soon be donated as the last batch of this year.
