when was a child
said yes right away

as many time did fall
when learning to walk
did not stop trying
also attempting to talk

then as an adult
always said no not now
even want to do it
but didn't know how

others were looking
but might make a mistake
that was more of a risk
than was willing to take

besides life was busy
do what must be done
was doing and doing
not open for fun

soul screamed for attention
and really wanted to wake
you're immersed to joy
what more will it take

if dance is within life
it's got to come out
when you're the dance
a little voice ..... shout

don't make the music
that's not what you do
but awake to discover

to the voice within
you need to attune
so get up and do it

now that's life is older
when asks for the hand

each second life gives

get that child out again
