regardless of one's soul
measured of one's life
wish, the story has told

not how did one die
but how did one live
not what did one gain
but what did one give

and not how did one play
one's life-given part
not what was one's station
but had one a heart

not what did the story
that everyone did say
but how many were sorry
when one passed away

and these should be
to measure the worth
of a man as a man
regardless ..... of birth
