คนไทยช่วยด้วย Is it possible for a Thai born man to renounce his Thai citizenship?

I am in the process of joining the British Air Force at the moment. Having already passing the exam and the interview, they cannot proceed my application further, this is because they need some sort of document to proof that I do not need to go back to Thailand for doing selection of Thai National Service. Last year, my mum went back to Thailand to sort everything else for me and eventually a Thai Military headquarter agree that I do not need to do it, having to explain my intention of joining the Royal Air Force. Although they have already put it in the record that I do not need to enter Thai Military Service, however, they cannot give me a certificate of proof or otherwise known as ส.ด 9 until I am 21. I am currently 19 and will turn 20 soon and I don't want to wait next year.

Luckily, the Royal Air Force recruiter did says to me that, if I go to Royal Thai Embassy in London and get them to write a letter to confirm that I do not need to enter Thai military service, this letter would be proof sufficient. From this, I will get my mum to speaks to one of the Royal Thai Embassy admission as well, so that they can be fully aware that my mum has already sort it out for me. Hopefully, they then will agree to write a letter for me to give to the Air Force.

Nevertheless, If the Royal Thai Embassy refuse to write a letter for whatever reason, this could possibly leads me to pick a last recourse option, by renounce my Thai Citizen, which will be 100% definitely a proof that I do not to enter Thai Military service. Would this be possible?

I am currently a dual citizen, holding both passport : Thai and British. Furthermore, I have been living in the U.K for 9 years and a half.
