ช่วยตรวจไวยากรณ์ให้ด้วยนะคะ

In order to enhance the future One Health workforces including human and animal sectors, implementation of “One Health” issue from academic to the community was set up by the faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University. One-day workshop “One Health Implementation to Village Health and Livestock Volunteers” was supported by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Thailand One Health University Network (THOHUN) and held on March 30, 2017 at Vimandin: Development and Training Center, Mahidol University, Kanchanaburi campus, Sai Yok, Kanchanaburi, Thailand.

This workshop was focused on the implementation of One Health knowledge to the village health and livestock volunteers who are responsible for the health of human and livestock, respectively. The volunteers were trained for the example of “One Health approach” to solve the complicated health problem such as liver fluke disease in Khon Kaen province. The volunteers learned more about the zoonotic diseases from avian influenza, brucellosis, rabies, mosquito-borne, leptospirosis, and Prasu-Palun livestock and wildlife hospital activity booths. During the workshop, participants also engaged and networked with each other, especially during the activities and group work.

A group of 74 village health volunteers and 40 livestock volunteers from Sai Yok, Si Sawat, Sangkhla Buri and Thong Pha Phum districts which located in the western part of Kanchanaburi province were invited to attended the workshop

During the morning part, pre-testing, the network promoting activity, short lecture regarding One Health knowledge and approach, activities in zoonotic diseases booths were established. During the afternoon part, the participants were divide into six groups and do the group work regarding to raise the problems occurred in their communities and use the One Health approach to solve the problems. Finally, they did the post-testing. We also encouraged the participants to communicate One Health issue to the villagers and their communities.

The overall workshop was a huge success. It utilized a mix of lecture, network promotion, group working, pre- and post-testing, and activity booths. The participants enjoy all of the activities and the mean scoring of the post-testing was better than the pre-testing (9/15 vs 10/15).
