Roger Federer recently visited Malawi to launch the Lundu Model Community Based Childcare Centre
and interact with the children and community members whose lives have been improved
by the efforts of the Roger Federer Foundation.
The World No. 2 tweeted:
“Excited to be visiting Malawi, the warm heart of Africa,
for the first time with the Roger Federer Foundation”.
The Roger Federer Foundation has helped 215,000 children in seven countries,
the foundation is dedicated to education programs for children living in poverty in Africa and Switzerland.
As of 2015, 15 programs were running in Botswana, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Switzerland.
The foundation’s goal is to have one million children benefitting from the programs by 2018.
