General manager of Russian Volleyball Federation and curator of the women’s teams Vladislav Fadeev said that the two-time world champion Ekaterina Gamova and Lyubov Sokolova hop in the extended list of the Russian team for the upcoming season.

“In the extended list of the Russian national team for the upcoming season, Sokolova and Gamova are included. But now they need to focus on the games of their clubs. It will be inappropriate to speak to them about that at this moment since they have to give everything to their clubs in the final game. All will depend on the state of health and their capabilities. They have heavy workload in the clubs. After the end of the season the club will hold a separate conversation with them, and only then you can make some decisions on the team.

“Basically, the extended list for the international season is ready. At the moment, there are several injured players, and it’s unclear exactly whom will be able to play. We are waiting for the completion of the championship of Russia. Just a few days after the tournament, the composition will be announced.”- quoted Fadeev from r-rport.
