Vietnam 2014
Good Morning, Ladies and Gentlemen. It’s a pleasure to be with you today. My name is Montien Ngamkaew. I am studying in faculty of Technical education, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at Rajamangala University of technology Isan KhonKaen campus.
As you know, 3 months ago, I’d been visiting Vietnam with AEC group. Today, I’m going to express my personal experience and impression from 3 days trip in Vietnam. (During 22 - 24 July 2014)
Are you ready?? Please feel free to interrupt me if there’s anything you don’t understand. OK Let’s start.
First Days. I started the journey from Khonkaen to Ploy Palace Hotel, Mukdahan and I had breakfast at 7.00 O’clock. After that, I went from Mukdahan, Thailand across Second Thai–Lao Friendship Bridge to Savannakhet, Lao. Along the first day's trip, a Lao girl happened to be our guide. Her name is Noi and she is beautiful. She didn’t stop talking from Lao to Vietnam and I was very fun. I went to Vietnam at 2.00 P.M.
At the Vietnam, I travelled Vinh Moc Village. Vinh Moc is a tunnel complex in Quang Tri, Vietnam. During the Vietnam War it was strategically located on the border of North Vietnam and South Vietnam. The tunnels were built to shelter people from the intense bombing.
At 6.00 P.M. – I went to Huế City. I had a dinner at Royal Restaurant and I stayed at Green Hotel in Hue City.
Seccond Days. I journey to The Imperial City in Hue. It is a walled fortress and palace in the former capital of Vietnam. The grounds of the Imperial City were surrounded by a wall 2 kilometers by 2 kilometers, and the walls were surrounded by a moat. And today I had a Vietnam Guide. His name is Nathee.
Then, I explored Thien Mu Pagoda. Thien Mu Pagoda is a historic temple in the city of Huế in Vietnam. Its pagoda has seven storeys and is the tallest religious building in Vietnam.
After that, I went from Hue City to Da nang City. Danang is one of the major port cities in Vietnam and the biggest city on the South Central Coast of Vietnam. I visit in Lin Ung Pagoda. Linh Ung pagoda is located on the hill, with the shape of turtle. Linh Ung pagoda in Son Tra peninsula was inaugurated, it is considered not only as the first processing of Vietnam Buddha in the 21st century but also as the place that gathers quintessence of the earth.
Next, I travelled from Danag City to Hoi an City. Hoi an is a city of Vietnam, on the coast of the East Sea in the South Central Coast region of Vietnam. It is located in Quảng Nam Province. It is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This is Streets of Hội an Ancient Town.
Finally, I got back to Danang City. And To night I stayed in Danang and This is a night of Danang.
Third Days. I woke up early for watching the morning of Danag. It’s so beautiful. At 8.00 A.M. I went to Bana hills. This is Bana hills. Bana hills is a hill station and resort located in the Truong Son Mountains west of the city of Da Nang, in central Vietnam. There are the cable car system at Ba Na Hills which is over 5 kilometers long. There’s a small waterfall at the bottom then you go over beautiful ridge after beautiful ridge on the way up. And also Amusement park at Ba Na Hills. This is an event in Amusement park. It’s very fun. I was in the Amusement park until 5.00 P.M.
Finally, I had a dinner on a boat at Hue City and Listened Vietnamese music on the boat. In the night I stayed in Hue City.
The next morning, I got back to Thailand.
All above, what impressed me the most is….Vietnam's cultural heritage, which is a valuable asset of the multi-ethnic. Vietnamese community and a part of the cultural heritage of humanity and has played a significant role in the national development of Vietnam.
Because of this reason, in Thailand, we should protect cultural heritage of Thailand, too.
Before the end of my presentation, I have a quote from Vietnamese people about Vietnam War…….
“...Whatever could have been or should have been, doesn't matter. This moment is here and now for you to live…”
Thank you for your attention.
