Here is China's new GT25000IC (QC-280IC) gas turbine.

One single gas turbine can output 40MW, so four engines can output around 160MW, so it is enough to run a 18000 tons destroyer which can outputs nearly twice as much as a Burke (80MW in four LM2500).

The Type 052D uses QC-280A, which can output 2 * 33MW to run a 7500 tons destroyer.

So the future Type 055A will be large enough to ensure enough room for the laser weapons and the rail gun.
