ก่อนที่จะประกาศรางวัลใหญ่ๆ ในสัปดาห์หน้า ก็มาถึงรางวัลของคนเบื้องหลังกันก่อน ซึ่งพึ่งประกาศไปเมื่อเช้านี้ตามเวลาของประเทศไทย รวมทั้งสิ้น 80 สาขา

รางวัลหลักๆ ของงานก็คือรางวัลสาขานักแสดงรับเชิญทั้ง 4 สาขา ซึ่งผู้ชนะได้แก่

Joe Morton คือนักแสดงคนที่สองจาก Scandal ที่ได้รางวัลในสาขานี้ หลังจากที่ Dan Bucatinsky ได้ไปเมื่อปีที่แล้ว และเป็นเพียงสาขาเดียวที่ Scandal ชนะรางวัล

ส่วนรางวัลที่ Allison Janney ได้ไปนี้ ถือเป็นรางวัล Emmy ตัวที่ 5 ของเธอ หลังจากที่เคยชนะไปแล้ว 4 ครั้งจากการแสดงในเรื่อง The West Wing และในสัปดาห์หน้า เธอยังมีลุ้นตัวที่ 6 จากการเข้าชิงสาขานักแสดงสมทบในซีรีส์เรื่อง Mom





นี่เป็นครั้งที่สองของ Jimmy Fallon ที่ชนะในสาขานี้จากการมาเป็น host ใน Saturday Night Live หลังจากที่เคยชนะไปในปี 2012 และเป็น Emmy ตัวที่ 3 ที่ได้ชนะมา

และ Uzo Aduba จากบท Crazy Eyes ใน Orange Is the New Black ก็เป็นผู้ชนะไปตามโผ เบียดสองสาว Natasha Lyonne และ Laverne Cox จากซีรีส์เรื่องเดียวกัน

รางวัล Reality ที่ไม่ได้เป็นการแข่งขัน ปีนี้แยกเป็นสองประเภท (แบบงงๆ) ส่วนประเภทการแข่งขัน จะประกาศในสัปดาห์หน้า

ส่วนรางวัล Emmy ที่ Jane Lynch ได้ไป ก็ถือเป็นครั้งแรกในสาขานี้ และเป็นตัวที่สองที่เคยได้รับ หลังจากที่ตัวแรกได้ไปจากบท Sue Sylvester ในเรื่อง Glee

Sherlock ที่เคยได้ชิงมาเยอะจาก 2 ซีซั่นที่ผ่านมา แต่กลับบ้านมือเปล่าตลอด มาปีนี้ก็ได้รางวัลกับเขาซักที โดยได้จากงาน Creative Arts ไปถึง 4 รางวัล ได้แก่
Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Miniseries or Movie
Outstanding Sound Editing for a Miniseries, Movie or Special
Outstanding Music Composition for a Miniseries, Movie or Special
Outstanding Cinematography for a Miniseries or Movie



ส่วนสาขา Drama Series ที่คาดว่าจะเป็นการห้ำหั่นระหว่าง True Detective กับ Breaking Bad
True Detective ก็เปิดตัวสวยกว่าด้วยการชนะไปแล้ว 4 รางวัล ในขณะที่ Breaking Bad ได้ไปเพียงรางวัลเดียว
