Upon the recovery of receipt under the powers herein contained of any monies, goods, effects or things due, owing, payable or belonging to the company, to sign and give, seal and deliver valid releases and discharges there from, which receipts shall exempt the person making such payment or delivery, from all responsibility of seeing to the application of the monies or preperty therein expresses to received or things delivered.
