Fortunately, there is a great deal of schedules of TV programs available both online and on papers. We have access to them no matter where we are. These schedules help us decide what we want to watch at any given time. Thus, we are able to avoid shows that we think are too violent. People watching TV regularly know which show is not good for them.
In this day and age, we have useful technology providing us a tool for controlling TV programs we see. We can program our TVs to block particular channels which are violent, unproductive and brain-destroying. Therefore, people can protect their children from watching such shows. Also, adults can use this technology to avoid seeing what they do not want to see.
