The flight details belonging to the daughters of ex-Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra were leaked from Thai Airways yesterday (14 November) and disseminated via the internet.
This is seen as a politically-motivated attack thrown at the members of the Shinawatra. Such vendettas are based on what is seen as "guilty by association" in a deliberate attempt to discredit them.
The rumors claimed that the Shinawatra family members were fleeing out of Thailand. The privacy breached also included confidential data such as the flight number, departure date and time, as well as the numbers and weight of baggage.
Later in the evening, personal passengers’ information of the two daughters was also released on anti-government protest stage at the Democracy Monument where Democrat Party and their supporters have been protesting against the government.
On the other ends, Pintongta Shinawatra has responded to such incident via her personal Instagram, saying “Yes, we’re in London. We ar
for work for less than a week and will definitely go back to Thailand.”
The question of who leaked such airline’s confidential data have yet been investigated by Thai Airways. The airlines, which is a national flag carrier, has not responded to the incident.
