The liar paradox is an ancient conundrum of logic. It was originally cast in the form of a fable [11]:

In ancient times, all the inhabitants of Crete were incapable of making a true statement.
Epimenides, who lived in Crete, made the following statement: “All Cretans are liars.”
Is Epimenides lying?
