The museum said the new figure was put on display to celebrate the upcoming Year of the Snake.
Its first wax figure of Chou was unveiled in October 2006. However, the model, clad in a leisure suit and standing by a white piano, disappointed many fans of the pop star at that time. They believed the figure was not a good likeness.
In a bid to ensure the quality of the new model, Chou's chief hairstylist, Emily Lin, oversaw the figure's hair cutting, according to the museum.
